Career Vision Recruiters are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a leading 4-star hotel in the Greater Dublin area in the appointment of an experienced HR Director.

This is a key senior leadership position within a substantial, high-volume hotel operation employing close to 300 team members across multiple departments.

We are seeking an accomplished and commercially minded HR professional who can take full ownership of the hotel’s people strategy, culture and HR function, while remaining visible and hands-on within the day-to-day operation.

The successful candidate will work closely with the General Manager and senior leadership team, providing strategic HR direction while ensuring the hotel continues to attract, develop, engage and retain exceptional people.

The Role

The HR Director will have responsibility for:

• Leading the overall HR and People & Culture strategy for approximately 300 employees
• Acting as a trusted advisor to the General Manager and senior leadership team
• Leading employee relations, including complex disciplinary, grievance, performance and absence matters
• Ensuring compliance with Irish employment legislation and HR best practice
• Developing recruitment, retention and workforce planning strategies
• Driving employee engagement and strengthening workplace culture
• Leading learning & development, management development and succession planning
• Supporting department heads in building and developing high-performing teams
• Overseeing performance management, probationary reviews and employee development
• Developing reward, recognition and employee wellbeing initiatives
• Reviewing HR policies, procedures and employment practices
• Providing meaningful HR metrics and workforce insights to senior management
• Working closely with Finance and Payroll on remuneration, benefits and workforce costs
• Building a strong employer brand within the Irish hospitality market

Who We Are Looking For

We are particularly interested in speaking with candidates currently operating at HR Director, Head of HR, People & Culture Director or senior HR Manager level who are ready to take ownership of a substantial hotel HR function.

The ideal candidate will bring:

• Strong senior HR leadership experience within a large, people-focused organisation
• Previous hotel or hospitality experience, ideally within a busy 4? or 5? environment
• Experience supporting workforces of 200–300+ employees
• Excellent knowledge of Irish employment legislation
• Strong employee relations and conflict-resolution experience
• Proven success in recruitment, retention and employee engagement
• Experience developing managers and future leaders
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to contribute at senior leadership level
• An approachable, credible and highly visible leadership style
• CIPD or a relevant HR qualification would be highly advantageous
