5* Director of Food & Beverage

Career Vision Recruiters are currently recruiting for a Director of Food and Beverage to join this professional team in a 5* property in Co. Cork. We are looking for an ambitious, dynamic & self-motivated Food & Beverage professional with multi-outlet experience in organising, directing and managing the Food and Beverage function within the hotel. Working closely with the General Manager and Executive Head chef to provide an exceptional and innovative guest experience.

The successful candidate will have a passion for Food and Beverage, be motivational and energetic for this hands-on role.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing and running of the daily Food & Beverage operations, giving support and guidance to fellow Food & Beverage personnel as well as monitor job performance to ensure a successful experience by our guests
  • To develop and implement strategic plans to drive revenue growth within the Food and Beverage operation
  • Generate new ideas for service and products that will maintain a competitive and leading edge over our competitive set and generate additional revenue
  • Monitor and control costs including food and beverage inventory and wastage
  • Continuous assessment and updating of SOP’s, ensuring development within the Food and Beverage department

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience is desired, in managing multiple outlets including banqueting within a 4/5* hotel or resort setting
  • Excellent knowledge of Food and Beverage (including wine)
  • Excellent Customer Service and Communication Skills and the ability to influence change
  • Previous experience with KPI’s, budgets, forecasting, and labour cost management
  • Extensive experience in F&B staff training, knowledge and skills, grooming, customer service and service etiquette
  • A proactive and results oriented approach, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions
  • Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate the team to achieve a high level of performance and delivering of exceptional customer service
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills
