Assistant Hotel Accountant

Career Vision Recruiters are currently recruiting for an Assistant Hotel Accountant to join our clients team in a busy 4* Hotel in Sligo City. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who wishes to further their accounts experience within a busy hotel environment and as part of a growing and progressive group. The accountant will be required to work Monday-Friday.

 

Main Duties:

  • Daily cash reconciliation, banking and reporting of same to management
  • Monitoring and reconciliation of hotel system
  • Daily, weekly and monthly reconciliation of bank
  • The ability to identify and resolve issues and variances that arise
  • All aspects of credit control
  • Maintaining internal reports and adhering to monthly deadlines
  • All other duties within the accounts department as required by General Manager and Head Office

 

This role is for you if you have:

  • Experience in a similar role within a hospitality environment. This would be a distinct advantage
  • Previous experience with cash management
  • Understanding of the credit control function
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet various deadlines on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • A positive, can-do attitude
  • Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate effectively with both colleagues and customers
