Career Vision Recruiters are currently recruiting for an experienced Banqueting Manager to lead the team in this exceptional property. This role holds responsibility in the areas of guest satisfaction, profitability/revenue generation and total banqueting operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • To participate in the control of the Banqueting Department payroll and other operating costs.
  • Ensuring the timely and consistent delivery of exceptional service to each guest
  • Lead the department with responsibility for the success of each function
  • Creating and implementing training plans in line with the needs of the team, business, and profitability
  • To ensure appropriate quality standards are adhered to at all times.
  • To ensure appropriate levels of customer care are delivered at all times.
  • To maintain controls appropriate to ensure maximum profitability.
  • To maintain good team relations in the Banqueting Department ensuring fairness and consistency in all dealings with staff members.
  • To ensure daily team briefing are held in the Banqueting Department.
  • To chair Banqueting Department meetings as appropriate.
  • To provide support where necessary in all areas of the hotel.
  • To maintain a high level of security throughout the Banqueting Department through monitoring and that all items are charged for.
  • To liaise closely with the Sales Department and The Wedding Coordinator.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience required
  • Experienced in training, motivating and managing a team to deliver the highest level of service possible
  • Experience with large and small functions from start to finish as you will be point of contact.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Highly organised in managing large events/functions
  • Knowledge of overall hotel operations
  • Must be available to work midweek, weekends and evenings
