Buyer – Outdoor Living Department

Are you passionate about outdoor living, product trends, and delivering exceptional value to customers? We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Buyer to join our dynamic buying team, focusing on our Outdoor Living Department.

About the Role:

As Buyer, you will take full ownership of the outdoor living category – from garden furniture, barbecues, and décor to outdoor lighting and accessories. You’ll be responsible for developing and executing a product strategy that drives sales, enhances margins, and delights customers season after season.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source, select, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure a compelling and profitable product range.
• Analyse market trends, customer insights, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth.
• Manage end-to-end product lifecycle – from concept and forecasting to range reviews and exit strategies.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring quality, value, and reliability.
• Collaborate closely with merchandising, marketing, and store teams to deliver impactful seasonal launches.
• Monitor sales performance, margins, and stock levels, implementing corrective actions where needed.
• Ensure sustainability and ethical sourcing remain at the forefront of the buying process.

About You:

• Proven experience as a Buyer or Assistant Buyer within a retail, garden, home, or outdoor living category.
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
• Excellent trend awareness and an eye for design and innovation.
• Highly analytical, with strong Excel and reporting skills.
• Organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
