Career Vision Recruiters are currently looking for a Deputy Head Chef to join an amazing property and work with a deluxe property in Athlone. As Deputy Head Chef you will have a similar background, be talented, creative and have a genuine passion for food.

Reporting to the Head Chef, will be primarily responsible for preparation and presentation of food menu dishes to the highest standard in an award winning Restaurant.

Other Responsibilities include:

  • Takes care of daily food preparation and duties assigned by the Head Chef to meet the standard and the quality set by the Property.
  • Coordinates daily tasks with the Head Chef.
  • Running service in the absence of the Head Chef
  • Working well with others and leading by example as a Senior Chef.
  • Ensure that the production, preparation and presentation of food are of the highest quality at all times.
  • Full awareness of all menu items, their recipes, methods of production and presentation standards.
  • Follows good HACCP practices for the proper handling and preparation of all food products at the right temperature.
  • Operate and maintain all department equipment and reporting of malfunctioning.
  • Ensure effective communication between staff by maintaining a secure and friendly working environment.
  • A willingness to learn and progress as a Chef in a kitchen that is open to creativity.
