Director of Operations-Hotel

Career Vision Recruiters are currently looking to recruit an experienced Director of Operations for a well-established 4* hotel in Co. Offaly. The ideal candidate will be passionate, and self-motivated with exceptional experience of directing a team to provide excellent service with a personal touch. The Director of Operations will lead the day to day operations for all areas of the hotel as well as motivating and leading all employees.

Management responsibilities:

  • To ensure the consistent delivery service to each and every guest and to ensure your team do likewise.
  • To manage, train and develop the team, ensuring objectives are set and regularly monitored.
  • To ensure weekly/ monthly departmental payroll forecasting is completed and that all rosters are in line with budget.
  • To carry out continuous training with each of your team to ensure the hotels high standards are being consistently maintained.
  • To ensure your team are well presented and that their demeanour is professional and polite at all times.
  • To ensure there is a constant management presence Front of House at all times.
  • To monitor all purchasing and costs in the property and spending is in line with budgets and in line with purchasing procedures
  • To provide support where necessary to colleagues.
  • To assist with weekly/monthly stock takes.
  • To ensure all cash, charge, float and till procedures are carried out in compliance with company policy, ensuring all colleagues and supervisors are trained.
  • To maintain close communication with all members of the management team to ensure the smooth & efficient running of your department.
  • To coach the team to maximise sales opportunities in order to meet sales targets.
  • To work towards achieving high hotel inspection results.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • A minimum of three years experience in a Management role in the hotel business, preferably in a 4-star Hotel, is essential.
  • Food & Beverage experience in a Managerial role is essential.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to lead a team to continually maintain and improve standards.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement high standards.
