Career Vision Recruiters is currently seeking to recruit an experienced and innovative Executive Head Chef to lead a professional and highly skilled kitchen team in a deluxe hotel in Cork City. If you have the relevant qualifications, would like to develop your career within a busy and extremely popular property this could be an excellent opportunity for you.

We are looking for an ambitious, passionate, individual for a busy property in a deluxe Hotel setting. You will lead a team of food specialists and ensure that our food maintains the highest quality.

Duties to include:

  • Overall responsibility for the kitchen’s daily operations.
  • Liaising with the relevant companies for food orders.
  • Creating new dishes and menus.
  • Interviewing and hiring new staff.
  • Maintaining/raising the food’s profit margins for your employer.
  • Monitoring and controlling stock levels.
  • Ensuring correct stock rotation procedures are followed.
  • Implementation of health and safety procedures in the kitchen.
  • Estimating costs and ensuring all purchases come within budget.
  • Taking care of the kitchen’s accounts and creating a work roster.

You will need to have the following:

  • Excellent culinary background required
  • Have excellent HACCP & hygiene awareness
  • Be able to work in all areas of the kitchen
  • Be able to work under pressure whilst also producing excellent cuisine
  • Confident working on your own initiative and also part of a successful team
