Service Engineer

Job title: Full Time Fitter, Installer & Service Engineer

Job summary: To Install, service and repair smoke ventilation equipment. The successful engineer will install Automatic Opening Vents, Chain Drive Motors, Fire and Smoke Curtains & carry out planned preventative maintenance while providing exceptional customer service. Our Customer base is Nationwide with a large % of the work based in Leinster.

Responsibilities

  • Installation of the above systems to current standards.
  • Carrying out Planned preventative maintenance & remedial work.
  • Attending Emergency Callouts.
  • Working at heights (Roof Work, Ladder, Scaffold & MEWP)
  • Fault find electrical and pneumatic issues.
  • Terminate and Commission Control Panels.
  • Labelling of equipment & control panels after servicing.
  • Completing work sheets & engineers report relevant to the job in hand.
  • Provide excellent Customer Service, establishing and maintaining effective relationships with customers.
  • Adhere to all health and Safety guidelines, method statements & risk assessments

Skills and requirements

  • Electrical & Mechanical technician- min 5 years’ experience required.
  • Knowledge of smoke ventilation detection systems would be desirable.
  • Be reliable, trustworthy, self-motivated with the ability to work alone as well as in a team.
  • Technical minded & hands on individual.
  • Good spoken and written English required.
  • In date Safe Pass & Manual Handling Certs required.
  • Hold a full clean driving License.
  • Travel required including occasional stayovers.
