Job Description
Our Client is currently looking for a Head Chef to manage their busy kitchen operation.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead the kitchen operation.
- Lead and develop our skilled and ambitious culinary staff.
- Manage the purchasing & delivery of food.
- Play an important role in the success of our conference, events and banqueting offering.
- Manage the kitchen budget to achieve set targets.
- Ensuring HACCP & Safety is paramount in the kitchen.
- You will be responsible for seasonal menu development and introduction of improving kitchen standards.
- Rostering and training of staff.
The ideal person:
- A real foodie chef who takes pride in their work.
- Role would suit a proactive, quick-thinking team-player who enjoys dealing with situations in a fast-paced environment.
- An ability to identify areas for improvement in operations, costings and internal development.
- You will be a great team leader and can lead by example.
- Excellent financial acumen and have a proven track record in achieving good GPS/Budgets etc.
- Excellent communication skills and can get the most from your chefs.
- You can delegate and prioritise what needs to be done.
