Job Description

Our Client is currently looking for a Head Chef to manage their busy kitchen operation.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the kitchen operation.
  • Lead and develop our skilled and ambitious culinary staff.
  • Manage the purchasing & delivery of food.
  • Play an important role in the success of our conference, events and banqueting offering.
  • Manage the kitchen budget to achieve set targets.
  • Ensuring HACCP & Safety is paramount in the kitchen.
  • You will be responsible for seasonal menu development and introduction of improving kitchen standards.
  • Rostering and training of staff.

The ideal person:

  • A real foodie chef who takes pride in their work.
  • Role would suit a proactive, quick-thinking team-player who enjoys dealing with situations in a fast-paced environment.
  • An ability to identify areas for improvement in operations, costings and internal development.
  • You will be a great team leader and can lead by example.
  • Excellent financial acumen and have a proven track record in achieving good GPS/Budgets etc.
  • Excellent communication skills and can get the most from your chefs.
  • You can delegate and prioritise what needs to be done.
