Hotel Financial Controller

Career Vision Recruiters are now seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the Finance function for a busy Hotel based in Dublin City. In this role you will be responsible for providing effective operational finance and commercial support to the General Manager and management team. You will also ensure rigorous financial control and reporting environment exists.

  • Commercial acumen, strong organisation and planning skills and the ability to prioritise appropriately.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Oversee the financial management of the group, including budgets, preparing and analysing P&L statements, cash flows and a short- and long-term forecast and plan for capital expenditure.
  • Prepares monthly Profit and Loss Account, with comparisons to budget and previous year, highlighting and investigating differences. To this end, calculates accruals, pre-payments, wage journals, food/beverage/other stock-takes and GP results.
  • Optimise costs and cash to improve margin and target GOP and deliver strong Working Capital management.

 

Skills:

  • Hospitality experience essential
  • Strong computer skills, financial accounting and internal control awareness.
  • Analytic approach and creativity in problem resolution.
