Career Vision Recruiters are currently recruiting for a Marketing and Events Manager for an amazing 4* property in Dublin City. This is a amazing opportunity to work alongside a fantastic director of sales.
Responsibilities
- Provide information, quotations, proposals, and contracts to all customers in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assisting with meeting and exceeding customer expectations both over the phone and in person.
- Respond to all sales inquiries as soon as possible (email, phone, walk-in)
- Packages should be negotiated; wedding and meeting room sales should be confirmed.
- Manage client expectations and always go above and beyond.
- Handle all customer inquiries and complaints in accordance with the hotel’s expectations, ensuring that guests are satisfied when they leave.
- Promote weddings actively within the hotel in order to maximise sales opportunities.
- Keep an eye out for competitors, packages, products, and marketing.
- Daily office administration duties in collaboration with the Meeting and Events Manager.
- Attend wedding fairs, both in and out of the hotel.
- Sales responsibilities include showing potential customers around the hotel and upselling every department, as well as looking for new business opportunities through cold calling, telephone sales, mail shots, and other methods.
- Using the Opera system, prepare and maintain administrative documentation for events, implement proper filing procedures.
- Adhere to Health & Safety and other company procedures
- Managing of customer feedback including responding to guest complaints and problems relating to weddings and events
- Effective sales skills to up-sell products and services
- Strong presentation skills
- A team player with excellent communication skills and proficiency in the English language
- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
- Ability to use standard software applications and hotel system
Requirements:
- Strong proven track record within the hotel industry in a sales role.
- Strong communications and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage own work schedule/agenda.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent people skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
