Career Vision Recruiters are currently recruiting for Experienced Night Porters to join an exciting new Hotel Opening in January 2023. The Night Porter will work be responsible for hotel and guest security, reception duties as well as maintaining the agreed standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Providing a smooth and efficient night service for all guests.
  • Patrolling and securing hallways, common areas, entrances and other locations on grounds or in the hotel.
  • To have a full understanding of the hotels’ fire procedures to ensure safety of all staff and guests at all times.
  • Check in and out hotel guests as required as well as assisting with guest requests in relation to luggage/porterage.
  • To carry out all aspects of the Night Audit using the HOTSOFT Reservations system – (Cash Balancing, Printing of Revenue Report, Posting of Room Charges)
  • To ensure the key areas of the Hotel are manned and are operating smoothly throughout the duration of the Night Shift
  • To offer bar service to guests
  • To deal with any queries, complaints or problems that arise during the Night Shift

Requirements:

  • 2+ years’ experience as a Night Porter or similar essential for this role.
  • The ability to work on their own initiative, as well as being capable of working as part of a team.
  • A warm, friendly, and approachable personality when dealing with fellow staff and guests
  • Prior experience covering both front desk reception and bars at night-time.
  • Have high awareness of property and security and experience with safety procedures.
  • Be flexible with working nights which will include both weekdays and weekends.
  • Computer literate and experience with night audits
