We are currently looking to recruit an Operations Manager for a Hotel property in Waterford. The candidate must have the ability to deliver an exceptionally high level of Guest Service in a confident and professional manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitors present and future trends, practices and systems in the food & beverage industry to ensure that the Hotel’s food & beverage operations are competitive in the marketplace.
  • Conducts weekly inspections of the food & beverage departments to ensure the property is kept in the best condition, recommends preventive maintenance where needed, and checks if all F&B areas are clean.
  • Participates in the development of recognition programmes for staff, advertising and promotional programs and campaigns to increase market awareness and penetration
  • Checks the food & Beverage outlets’ reservation lists, hotel arrival list, conference guest list, and VIP list to ensure that the team is aware of VIP guests
  • Controls & Analyses departmental costs & take action if required
  • Audits rooms, food & Beverage services, and quality regularly and develops and implements strategies to improve results.
  • They welcome guests politely and courteously at all times and maintain this standard throughout their stay.
  • Plans and coordinates in-house activities and package plans with other HOD’s
  • Deal with guest complaints in a friendly & efficient manner, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.
  • Develops, implements, and evaluates the Hotel’s marketing plan and general business plan to ensure optimum guest satisfaction, sales maximisation and profitability

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • A minimum of three years experience in a Management role in the hotel business, preferably in a three or 4-star Hotel, is essential.
  • Food & Beverage experience in a Managerial role is essential.
  • Strong financial background with a proven track record in a target-driven hotel environment.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to lead a team to continually maintain and improve standards.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement high standards.
