Career Vision Recruiters are actively recruiting for an experienced Reservations Manager for a well-known Hotel in Limerick. The successful candidate must have at least 2 to 3 years’ experience in a similar role.

RESPONSIBILITIES to include

Managing the Reservations Department

Management of the Reservations Department team, ensuring correct rostering of team resources to meet business needs.

Challenge employees within the department to achieve optimum revenue and service per employee. Ensure they are aware of the departments’ targets and goals.

Monitors departments overall service, interaction with other departments and team work daily. Take actions as necessary to improve.

Ensure effective working relationships with corporate and leisure clients and all hotel guests. Identify their needs and ensure their repeat business

To be proactive in creating a sales culture through our people

To develop a close working relationship with all departments, colleagues and managers to ensure guest expectations are met.

To deal with all customer queries and complaints in a timely manner in line with the hotels standards of operation.

To work alongside the Revenue Manager to maximise rates, occupancy of bedrooms, yield and average spends by implementing and adopting appropriate standards of operation, support by training and communication with the reservations team and the hotel.

Assist in the forecasting process for rooms revenue.

Assist in the process of correct price positioning for the market segments.

Work closely with the Digital Marketing team on setting up and implementing agreed promotions and packages

Work closely with the Digital Marketing team to ensure the guest booking journey on the hotel website is seamless

Collation of pricing and competitor information as required.

To actively seek all revenue opportunities both internal and external to increase the profile and profitability of the hotel.

To be creative in our selling /up-selling style and implement training/coaching to develop skill set within the team

Ideal Candidate:

2-3 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role in a busy hotel reservations department

Extensive knowledge of Opera (PMS), SiteMinder (Channel Manager), OTA’s, Excel.

Excellent communications and people management skills

Results and revenue orientated

Thrives in a team environment

Strong track record of using their own initiative

Keen attention to detail

Fluent in the English Language, both written and spoken

Flexibility is required in line with business levels.
