The main purpose of this role is to ensure maximum revenue is achieved on any given day by using yield management techniques, to achieve, if not exceed the budgets & targets of the Hotel. Whilst managing the team, accurate forecasting, reviewing budgets and rate strategy.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the hotel rate strategy and ensure that the hotel rates are competitive and completed daily.
  • Forecast and achieve monthly budget targets and ensure profitability.
  • Work well with the team to support the revenue strategy.
  • Develop new business and new revenue streams in all areas of the hotel.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure revenue streams are maximised.
  • Ensure strong execution of payments and accounting processes are maintained, thorough and accurate.
  • Deliver a strong corporate relationship to external clients, ensuring their booking experience is simple and stress free
  • To complete the room’s revenue daily report on a daily basis and to use these as a tool to maximise the hotel revenue
  • To devise and implement a rooms revenue strategy in order to maximise room revenue
  • To analyse and monitor revenue pickup and pace, adjusting pricing strategy in line with demand and market trends
  • To monitor booking pace of business on the books each year closely and investigate gaps on revenue and put actions into place
  • To ensure effective management of rates and inventory on all distribution channels, ensuring rate parity is maintained at all times
  • To maintain a relationship with all OTA’s Account Manager and maximise rankings
  • Ensure all websites have up to date content and images, and is seamless for the customers online journey.
  • Analyse all brand and OTA production and pace, in order to ensure the hotel is achieving market share on all channels and put actions into place when needed
  • To chair the weekly revenue and sales meetings with the General Manager
  • Schedule a monthly call with the account manager/PPC agency to review brand website production
  • To maximise all opportunities of other revenue areas in the hotel that are associated with rooms revenue, including Meeting Excellence.
  • To implement Group policies & procedures for the reservations department and ensure they are followed
  • To train, motivate and drive the team to achieve targets
  • To create and implement a training plan so as to develop the staff and maintain presentation and office standards.
  • To consider and reply to all group enquires, in line with company expectations
