Revenue Manager

Career Vision Recruiters are looking for a talented individual with experience in revenue management in the hospitality industry. This role will play a vital part in maximizing rooms revenue and supporting M&E and F&B revenues as well.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Managers to execute the rooms strategy for the Hotel.
  • Monitor the Hotel rates strategy and maximise opportunity.
  • Achieve monthly budget targets and ensure profitability.
  • Developing new business and new revenue streams.
  • Revenue maximisation through market intelligence, commercial analysis & inventory management.
  • Ensure the commercial approach is applied to revenue generation and assist with strategy development and decision-making.
  • Compile and synthesize market intelligence; trend statistics to identify market changes; competitor actions/reactions; and identify opportunities and threats in coordination with the sales team.
  • Research competitor pricing of rooms, outlets, meetings/events and all other facilities to proactively lead the market as well as respond appropriately.
  • Set selling strategies and rates for all market segments, seasons and channels
  • Effective use of forecasting tools for guest rooms availability control and pricing through accurate forecast in rooms and meetings demand, optimize availability and recommend necessary strategy changes.
  • Apply an appropriate overbooking policy and educate team to accept through qualified bookings. Implement and monitor waitlists for all revenue systems.
  • Monitor the global, local and environmental issues impacting your locality and hotel.
  • Check competitor strategy on a regular basis, reviewing pricing and their availability.
  • Ensure that upselling and cross-selling remain core strategies for maximizing revenue within and across client segments.
  • Produce weekly forecast for trend analysis and decision support.
  • Prepare and analyze all appropriate reports to present at the management meetings.
  • Analyze all refused, lost, cancelled and waitlisted business for both rooms and events. Propose and implement changes to maximize revenue in these areas.
  • Load rates on systems and maintain rate loading forms and co-ordinate with Reservations.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with key clients
  • Deliver agreed KPI targets

 

Requirements:

  • Proven ability to meet and exceed targets.
  • Business Development experience.
  • Experience with Revenue Management Systems.
  • Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:
  • Strong analytical skills and high level of problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills for presentation and training.
  • Knowledge of Hotel systems is highly desirable.
  • Good level of competence with Microsoft Excel.
  • Proven experience as a Revenue Manager in the hospitality industry
  • Strong analytical and financial skills, with experience in revenue management systems and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and stakeholders.
  • Solid knowledge of hotel operations, distribution channels, and revenue management principles.
