Career Vision Recruiters seek an experienced Sales Manager to join a well known hotel property in Dublin 2. The Ideal candidate will be enthusiastic with a warm personality and have a proven track record of achieving sales targets. Experience in a similar role is essential.
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Generating new corporate and Leisure business through pro active sales activity to include face to face calls and site inspections of the hotel whilst ensuring to manage time effectively between the office and on the road activity.
- Preparing, executing and successfully delivering an annual € costed plan for sales and marketing activities that sets clear € goals aimed at meeting the budgetary and strategic objectives of the business.
- Managing and directing a Sales and Marketing Executive whose primary function will be digital marketing, whilst at the same time assisting and supporting the sales and marketing manager in all the activities carried out within the department to also include off line direct sales.
- Submitting a comprehensive weekly and quarterly sales and marketing report in an agreed format that describes the activities of the department, € quantifying the business booked and the related € revenue generated within the period.
JOB OBJECTIVES:
- Raise the profile of the hotel and increase brand awareness.
- Develop relationships with local and national media.
- Introduce the Hotel to local and international markets and develop a database of loyal guests.
- Track leads and current business and increase engagement with guests and bookers.
- Maximise revenue across all revenue streams to include Bedrooms, Food and Beverage and M & E.
- To represent the hotel in a professional manner at all times.
PRIMARY DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Generating revenue from day-to-day sales activitywith existing and potential new customers via regular ongoing face to face sales calls, both in the domestic markets, regionally (island of Ireland), Overseas and at Fairs, Exhibitions and Trade events both domestic and overseas.
- Organising and attendingregular events with networking opportunities and ‘Corporate Nights’ aimed at introducing new and existing clientele to the hotel, its facilities and the opportunities it presents to cater for their business.
- Raise the profileof the hotel through branding and PR activities and promotional campaigns with creative ideas to show the unique personality of the hotel and its appeal to the discerning traveller.
- Directing the Sales and Marketing Executive in digital marketingfor the hotel including a social media strategy that ensures the hotel features appropriately, regularly, prominently and successfully in this aspect of sales and marketing activity.
- Prepare and ‘showcase‘/ assisting in site inspections of the hotel to potential clients.
- Nurture existing business and also secure newLeisure, Corporate, Conference, Meetings and Event business at the higher end of the four-star market.
- Recommending and as appropriate booking and overseeingadvertising for the hotel that ensures business and brand standards are met
- In consultation with relevant personnel ensuring print and promotional materialis produced and distributed as an when required.
- Keep abreast of trends and ensure any opportunitiesdeemed appropriate for the hotel are brought to the attention of the General Manager and when appropriate assist in the adoption and execution of same.
- To engage with and or advise in any outsourced sales and marketing activitieswhich may arise from time to time to ensure services commissioned from such providers (Website development, photography etc) meet objectives required of the business.
- Ensure relationshipswith key partners and affiliates are nurtured and developed to gain maximum benefit from those organisations with whom the hotel may from to time be affiliated and/or in consultation with the individual require they join and represent the hotel.
- Co – ordinationof the RFP process with the Front Office Manager
- Working closely with the Front Office Managerto ensure business generated meets yield on room rate and that CPA is monitored and improved upon to maximise revenue.
- Targeting and securing businesswhereby the hotel maintains its position on STR and that the RevPAR achieved is in accordance with the KPI’s agreed.
- Producing weekly and quarterly reportsin a format agreed, highlighting the sales and marketing activities and results for the period in question.
- Assisting in the overall budgetary processand as and when required producing forecasts and any related information
