We are currently recruiting for the position of Sales and Marketing Executive for a Dublin Hotel. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Sales and Marketing Department and will report directly to the Manager. The role would suit recent graduate (last 1-2 years) with some work experience

Main Duties Include:

  • Responsible for assisting with the Sales & Marketing strategy and action plan for the hotel to ensure all sites are updated to the standard expected and that competitive analysis is carried out to ensure we are competing well with our main hotel competitors
  • General Assistance with overall marketing strategy – i.e. website, SEO, social media, advertising, PR distribution, e-zine creation.
  • Developing a content calendar and relevant for all social media accounts [Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram & Twitter]. This will also include content creation, copywriting and online competitions.
  • To produce weekly reports which will support weekly Sales & Marketing activities.
  • To identify and analyze competition, both locally and regionally. To carry out market research and analyse business statistics both from Hotsoft PMS system and the booking engine and give recommendations to increase revenue based on this information.
  • Individual responsibility for new business, and are expected to self manage, however support is available from Management.
  • To manage the annual local tactical marketing plan for the Hotel including local advertising, promotions tactical offers.
  • To review, monitor and improve the Hotels presence on official website and all third party websites reviewing content and images in conjunction with the sales and marketing manager and hotel team.
  • To work with the Hotels website provider to ensure optimization of their online position including, SEO and PPC campaigns whilst maintaining low costs. Provide analytic reports such as Google.
  • To assist the Sales and Marketing Manager with advertising and ensure all adverts are placed in time maintaining low costs and ensuring excellent attention to detail when proofing before they go to print. Achieve editorial when placing adverts.
  • To build relationships with journalists and develop PR from this area in conjunction with Management
  • To effectively monitor success of all advertising and the associated cost to ensure a high ROI.
  • To attend Dublin Chamber of Commerce and other networking events with membership organisations with a view to promoting the Hotel.
  • To improve the brand and ensure the hotel is meeting basic brand requirements

Sales

  • To maintain accurate and detailed database information on clients, develop new database and to undertake the development of the direct mail-shot programmed for the Hotel in consultation with Management.
  • To actively and successfully assist the Manager in the sales function: lead generation, lead qualification, face to face meetings and negotiation on rates.
  • To pre book and participate at various trade shows, promotions and consumer shows throughout the year.
  • The organization, planning and attendance of corporate appreciation nights with the intention to increase our awareness, to treat loyal clients and to secure further business.
  • To ensure you remain proactive and responsive to prospective clients.
  • Coordinate and attend site inspections, trade events, and meetings alongside the sales team as required.
  • Prepare the monthly sales and GDS reports in conjunction with the Manager.

Desired skills & experience

  • Experience or relevant 3rd level qualification in Marketing/Tourism/ Digital Marketing/Business.
  • Previous work experience in hotels, hospitality, tourism, sales and marketing in Ireland.
  • A strong sense of concept development, in addition to communication, collaboration, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Up-to-date knowledge and experience of digital marketing as well as strong traditional marketing strategies.
  • Experience of using Canva, Hootsuite, Adobe photoshop and other tools.
  • Ability to meet project deadlines and demonstrate attention to detail with ability to work independently or part of a team.
  • Strong commercial acumen and knowledge of current & local affairs in Ireland and in particular Dublin tourism sphere.
  • A pleasant, positive and ambitious person with strong interpersonal skills.
