Career Vision Recruiters have a fantastic opportunity for a senior chef who is looking to take the next step and further their career. The successful candidate will have excellent culinary skills and the ability to drive and mentor the team to produce high quality food whilst employing a strict attention to detail. This role will suit someone with a strong culinary background and previous experience in a high quality, high volume environment.

Duties:

  • Supporting the Head Chef in the full operation of the kitchen
  • Producing to a high volume in a restaurant environment while safeguarding the finer details of each dish.
  • Management of HACCP and Health & Safety legislation
  • Ordering, stocktaking, stock rotation and quality control
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Directing and leading the team in the absence of the Head Chef
  • Delegation of duties to a team of their peers
  • Collaboration and implementation of menus
  • Conduct a consistently high standard of professional performance demonstrating and encouraging all employees to achieve their full potential
  • A driven and creative team leader

Candidate:

  • Is passionate about food, and creating an enjoyable dining experience for all guests
  • Is confident in their ability to delegate and manage people
  • Proven track record of producing excellent quality food in a hotel / busy restaurant environment.
  • Has a proven ability to multi task in a fast paced environment
